I wanted to inform you that the information you have posted regarding the Vektor CP1 Recall is outdated. The program you list which includes a $400 reimbursement with a $100 incentive ended in August of 2005. The current program is a $300 reimbursement and does not include any other incentives. The current program will run through August of 2006.

VEKTOR CP1 & CP1N Pistol Recall
In June of 2001 VEKTOR announced an important safety program in the United States. Since that time, Vektor has contacted & received assistance from many of the dealers that have sold their products. At this time VEKTOR is seeking active assistance from all Federal Firearms License holders in recalling the CP1 & CP1N pistol because it has come to their attention that a small percentage of these pistols may accidentally fire when the loaded gun is dropped or bumped.
If the pistol drops or is bumped, it might cause injury or death to the shooter or bystanders. Any owner of a CP1 or CP1N pistol is urged not to load or use the pistol.
Owners should not attempt to have these pistols repaired by a dealer or gunsmith. Owners are being asked to RETURN their pistol, for which they will be compensated.
Because public safety is Vektor's top priority, we are working to recall the CP1 and CP1N and remove these pistols from the stream of commerce.
If you own one of these pistols please call Vektor Special Project Office at;
1-877-831-8313
Give them your name, mailing address, telephone number, the serial number of the pistol, if you have the original carry case, and how many magazines you have.
Or you can register for the recall online at www.regcen.com/vektor/
VEKTOR Special Project Office will send each owner a notification letter describing the recall, and ask them to return their pistol to VEKTOR to a special collection center in Florida licensed to receive these pistols. A pre-paid shipping container will be shipped to the owner for them to use in returning the pistol. Each owner will receive $400.00 reimbursement for the return of the pistol, plus a $100.00 incentive payment for the inconvenience.
