Bushmaster Issues Product Recall

As a result of determining what the company calls a “possible firearms performance issue” Bushmaster Firearms has issued a recall of its ACR rifles.

The notice indicates that a small number of ACR rifles may have a design flaw which could result in multiple rounds firing continuously when the trigger is pulled, creating a potentially hazardous situation.

The company requests that any ACR rifle owners contact them at 1-800-883-6229 with the firearm's serial number available, and they will provide instructions for returning the firearm to the company. Bushmaster will then perform the necessary upgrade and return the firearm “as expeditiously as possible.”

The notice adds that the process will be completed at no cost to the customer.
